Natural Fermentation | Mild & Mellow Acidity | Essential Kitchen Versatility
Elevate your home cooking with the clean, crisp tang of Shih Chuan Rice Vinegar. A staple in Singaporean Chinese and Japanese fusion kitchens, this vinegar is crafted through a traditional fermentation process that yields a smoother, more sophisticated acidity than harsh synthetic alternatives. Whether you are seasoning sushi rice, preparing a refreshing cucumber salad (Achar), or balancing the richness of a local stir-fry, this rice vinegar provides the perfect bright finish to your favorite dishes.
Our "Clean Label" commitment ensures that this vinegar is made from high-quality polished rice and pure water. We strictly avoid the use of artificial colorings, chemical acetic acid, and harsh preservatives. By allowing the rice to undergo a natural aging process, we deliver a probiotic-friendly condiment that is gentle on the stomach and free from the "chemical bite" often found in mass-produced white vinegars.

The Secret to Balanced Flavour
The superior taste of Shih Chuan Rice Vinegar is a result of the Solid-State Fermentation process. During this time, the starches in the rice are converted into sugars and then into acetic acid by specialized Acetobacter cultures. This process creates a variety of organic acids and esters that contribute to a "mellow" flavor profile. Unlike industrial distilled vinegars, rice vinegar has a slightly higher pH (lower acidity), which allows it to enhance the natural flavors of your ingredients rather than masking them. In the context of Singapore’s humid climate, using rice vinegar in dressings also acts as a natural antimicrobial, helping to keep cold dishes fresher for longer.
